Photo Gallery
Through my photos, I tried to show not only show how each subject used assistive technology, but also capture their personalities.
TV Style Video
Through working on the video portion of the project, I learned how to conduct an on-camera interview, how to use a Canon Vixia, how to film sequences, and how to edit my footage. I enjoyed editing the footage and getting to know each person I interviewed.
ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
During my third semester at the University of Missouri, I worked on a semester-long project about assistive technology for my multimedia class. This project had many components, including photo galleries, an audio slideshow, a short video, and a TV style video.
I learned so much while I was working on this project and was very inspired by the people I interviewed. Working under tight deadlines and striving to meet high standards really brought me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to be a more effective communicator and journalist.
Audio Slideshow
To put together the audio slideshow, I had to consider ambient sound, pacing, and how to effectively edit using Garageband and Audacity.
